Lebanon and Ansonia, CT: Dominic R. Yoia, age 72 of Lebanon, formerly of Ansonia passed away December 26, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Laurie (Flegert) Yoia. Mr. Yoia was born in Derby on June 3, 1941, son of the late Dominic J. and Anna G. (Kaiser) Yoia. Mr. Yoia was a graduate and was Valedictorian of Pine High School, Class of 1958. Dominic was a retired Insurance Agent, and was the founder and former owner of the Yoia Insurance Agency, Ltd in Ansonia for nearly 30 years. Dominic was active in many civic organizations including the Jaycees, the Valley YMCA, and the Birmingham Foundation.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his sons, Dominic Yoia, Jr. and his wife Marcia of Wallingford, and Christopher Yoia and his spouse Angel Perez of Torrington, and their mother Judy Yoia, also his grandchildren, Lindsay and Lauren, and numerous cousins.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Celebration of Dominic's life will be held at a later date.
