Marcia E. (Greene) Gunter, age 67, of Oxford and formerly of Beacon Falls entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2014 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born October 4, 1946 in New Haven and was the daughter of the late James P. and Ernestine Audrey (Schaefer) Greene. Marcia was an x-ray technician at Griffin Hospital for 20 years before her retirement. She was a devoted grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Marcia is survived by her three children Michael Shawn Grable of Anderson, Indiana, Michelle Lynn Poudrier of Prospect and Matthew Carson Grable of Tolland, her brothers, Leonard Greene of Beacon Falls and Kenneth Greene of Oxford. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Connor Poudrier, Emily and Charlotte Grable and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James P. Greene.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 10:00 to 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service in Celebration of Marcia’s Life at 11:00 a.m. at the Ralph E. Funeral Home, 161 W. Church Street.
