Life Story for Gregg Irving DeGeorge Sr.

Gregg Irving  DeGeorge Sr.
SEYMOUR, CT: Gregg Irving DeGeorge, Sr., age 76 of Seymour entered peaceful rest on August 4, 2014; he was the beloved husband of 53 years to Lorraine (Harris) DeGeorge. He was born May 8, 1938 in Derby, son of the late Perry ,Sr. and Ruby DeGeorge. Mr. DeGeorge graduated from Seymour High School in 1956; he served in the National Guard. Gregg was a toolmaker and Supervisor of the Tool room at Ideal Pin for 42 years and retired at age 62. He was a member of the Seymour United Methodist Church. Gregg enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing poker, gardening and shooting skeet at the Seymour Fish and Game Club where he served as Past President and Recording Secretary. Gregg also enjoyed 3 to 4 puzzles every day; he was a sports car enthusiast, especially had a love of Corvettes and Mustangs. In addition to his wife, Gregg leaves his loving family including 3 children, Gregg DeGeorge, Jr. and wife, Shirley and sons, Erick and Dylan; Shari L. Kostka and husband Richard and sons, Randy and Scott, also Denise Roaix and son Corey Kashuba and wife Liz and daughter Megan Kashuba. Also, Gregg has 4 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be sent to Grace Bible Church, 269 Coram Ave., Shelton, CT 06484. Calling Hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A Funeral Service in celebration of Gregg's life will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Seymour United Methodist Church, 90 Pearl St., Seymour. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery. Gregg's family wishes to thank the Seymour Ambulance Staff, and the Griffin Hospital Emergency Room and I.C.U.
