Long ago, two young men with backpacks and a guitar stuck out their thumbs and hit the road. We had to have been crazy. Made it to Fort Knox. ( i can't believe we got in the place!)  On to the Grand Canyon. (took all day to hike to bottom. Took all the next day to hike back out.) On to Vegas! ( tossed out of casino. Underage) Then to California. (and a blizzard in Sierra mountains). And home again. Our paths diverged after that (life does that sometimes) but it was an adventure that still makes me smile.
