Gregory Petriszyn, age 70, a lifetime resident of Seymour, beloved husband of LaWanda (Queen) Petriszyn, entered peaceful rest on May 20, 2015 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Derby on May 5, 1945, he was a son of the late Harry and Katherine (Dziadek) Petriszyn. A US Navy veteran of Vietnam, Gregory was an avid NY Giants fan who enjoyed fishing, bowling, and will be remembered as an awesome dancer. In addition to his wife of 46 years, survivors include his daughters, Sonia Barbieri and her husband Kevin of Seymour, and Tina Vaillancourt and her companion Shaefer Ellis of Meriden; three cherished granddaughters, Larissa, Kaleen & Sabrina; sisters, Carol Milek and her husband William, Sandra Jones and her husband John, and Kim Zaksewicz and her husband Peter, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may greet the family Friday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a Panachida service taking place at 7:00 pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
