Obituary for Anna Yarosh ((Slinka))

OXFORD, CT: Anna Slinka Yarosh, age 81 of Hunters Mountain Road, beloved wife of fifty seven years to Arthur Yarosh, Sr, she entered into peaceful rest January 31, 2004 at the River Glen Health Center, Southbury. Mrs. Yarosh was born June 23, 1922 in Derby, daughter of the late John and Mary (Boris) Slinka. She was an Oxford resident since 1967, formerly of Seymour. Anna was a retired employee after thirty years from the Uniroyal Corporation, Naugatuck in their shoe division, and was also retired from the Fairfield Hills Hospital where she did housekeeping for many years. She was a communicant of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, Ansonia, and Anna also loved to cook; she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and she also enjoyed fishing.
Besides her husband Anna leaves her loving family including her son Arthur Yarosh, Jr. of Fremont, NH, her daughter, Paula Morasco and her husband Jim of Brookfield, her sister, Mary Dulka of Seymour, and two grandsons, Timothy and Heath Yarosh both of Landaff, NH. Anna’s four brothers predeceased her, John, Andrew, William, and Michael Slinka.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00p.m., and 6:00 to 8:00p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home, to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Ansonia at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
