Frank Pope  Anderson
WOLCOTT - Mr. Frank Pope Anderson, age 94 of Wolcott, devoted husband of 35 years to Ida (Antonio) Anderson, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Wolcott. Frank was born in Naugatuck on October 19, 1922, and was a son of the late Frank and Babette (Pope) Anderson.

He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School, served in the Navy during WWII, and worked as a tool setter at Seymour Brass. He was also a lifelong volunteer firefighter for Great Hill Fire Department in Seymour. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Frank enjoyed fishing, camping, wintering in Florida, and the Uconn Women's basketball team. He also enjoyed horses, farming and auctioneering.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Wayne Anderson of ME and a stepson Joseph Membrino, Jr. of Wolcott; his sister, Muriel Smith and husband Albert of Middlebury, Babette Strumph and husband Fred of Prospect; brother Donald and wife Judy of Naugatuck; sister-in-law Judy O. Anderson, as well as grandchildren Melissa Morelli and husband James of Plymouth, Tammie Membrino of Harwinton, and great grandchildren Hannah and James Morelli of Plymouth. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his first wife Doris Anderson; brothers, Leonard and Norman, and sister, Anna Fenn.

Funeral services with full military honors will take place Monday, January 9, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in the Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Family and friends may greet the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.com) in memory of Brianna Rose.
