Life Story for Rosemary Deegan (Dube)

SEYMOUR, CT: Rosemary "Rose" Deegan, age 85, a lifelong Seymour resident entered peaceful rest on January 10, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her children and brother. Born on December 1, 1931, she was the beloved wife of the late Edward H. Deegan and daughter of the late Paul H. and Katherine (Egan) Dube. She was a cook at Seymour High School and Southbury Training School and a communicant of Saint Augustine Church where she enjoyed being part of the quilting group. Rose was an avid UCONN Women's Basketball fan, enjoyed gardening and vacationing at Humarock, MA with her friends and family. Rose also cherished attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Rosemary leaves her loving family including three children, Katherine H. Callini (Michael), Kevin E. Deegan, and Clare A. Falcha (Joseph) all of Seymour, three grandchildren, Sean Deegan, Jamie and Ryan Falcha all of Seymour; her brothers, John "Jack" Dube of Bloomsburg, PA, and Paul H. Dube, Jr. of Ocala, FL; several niece and nephews, and her dear friends Bob and Helen Hayden of Seymour. She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald and James Dube, and her sister, Marguerite Dube DeGennaro.

Calling Hours are Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home. 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Av., Seymour. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
