Frederick M. Weller, Jr., age 77 of Oxford, entered peaceful rest on Monday, January 30, 2017 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Derby on June 13, 1939, he was a son of the late Frederick M. Sr., and Julia (Hummel) Weller. A retired industrial painter for Mikon Products, Frederick enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, especially raising horses. He was active in tracing his family genealogy and also loved traveling to Ireland and Germany. Survivors include his loving sister, Sharon McEvoy; nieces and nephews, Debbie Baim, Maria Laskowski, Christine McEvoy, Julianne Langerud and her husband Steven, Nancy Chowanec and her husband Robert, Mardel Stochmal and her husband James, Charles Laskowski, Peter Laskowski, James Laskowski and his wife Lea, and William McEvoy, Jr. and his wife Donna; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, as well as his “German family”, Markus Noll and his wife Daniela. He was predeceased by his sister, Maria Weller-Mutter. Funeral services in Mr. Weller’s honor will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, with Rev. Dom Valla presiding. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 9:30 until the time of service. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Seymour. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frederick’s memory can be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford CT 06478.
