Life Story for Michael John Bryg

SEYMOUR, CT: Michael John Bryg, age 74 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest on March 18, 2017; he was the beloved husband of 48 years to Janet (Kowtko) Bryg. Mr. Bryg was born in Derby on December 7, 1942, son of the late Peter and Lucy (Giannone) Bryg. He was a U.S. Marine (Corporal E4) veteran serving during the Vietnam War; he personally served at the Bay of Pigs Campaign. Michael was a member of the Emil Senger, Post 10 American Legion, Seymour. He retired from the Anton-Bauer Co., of Shelton where he ran the research and development laboratory. Mr. Bryg loved to paint, was an accomplished artist and history buff; he was also an expert sharp shooter. He had great interest and passion for the Wounded Warriors Project.
In addition to his wife, Michael leaves his loving family including his daughter, Rebecca Golebieski and her husband Jeffrey of Seymour, his granddaughter, Lauren Golebieski of Seymour, his sisters, Laura Bryg in FL., and Cathy Uznansky in NC, and two nephews John and Christian Sullivan and a niece Lucy Sullivan. His brother Peter Bryg predeceased him.
Calling Hours are Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A Memorial Service in celebration of Michael's life will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. with full Military Honors at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
