Ronald “Ronnie” Henry Jones, Jr., 53, of Oxford entered peacefully into eternal rest on April 6, 2017. Ron is survived by his two loving children, Lauren and R.J. Jones of Oxford, and their mother, Kathleen (Roman) Jones of Oxford. He was born on October 24, 1963 in Bronxville, NY, raised in Sandy Hook, CT, and was a longtime resident of Oxford. He was a skilled carpenter, spending a good majority of his life doing detailed stair railings. Ron was an avid car fanatic, dedicating many years of his life to racing at Lebanon Valley Dragway and then teaching his children how to race. He always knew how to fix things and would not give up until he found a solution. Ron was a loyal friend, always willing to help those in need, often putting them before himself. Ron is survived by many other family members and his loving dog Jack. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 directly at 12pm in the Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Oxford. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
