Life Story for George B. Beaton

George B.  Beaton
George B. Beaton, age 80 of Hanover, Penn. Formerly of Oxford, CT, husband of Linda (Allen) Beaton entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born July 10, 1936 in Shelton, son of the late George & Marguerite “Babe” (Brown) Beaton. George worked as a salesman for the former Bridgeport Lumbar Company in Bridgeport, CT. and was a beloved parishioner of Calvary Bible Church, Hanover, PA, Calvary Evangelical Free Church, Trumbull, CT and Seymour Baptist Church, Seymour, CT. He was a member of CT Hurricanes Drum & Bugle Corps. George was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving as a Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class. Graduate of Shelton High School Class of 1954 and a graduate of the U.S. Naval Hospital Corps School, Great Lakes, Illinois. George’s greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and watching his beloved New England Patriots and UCONN Lady Huskies. An avid book reader and a true gentleman.
Besides his wife, He is survived by his daughters – Holly & Glenn Perry of Hanover, PA and Sheri & David Moxley of Portland, Oregon. A son David & Christie-Lynn (Beecher) Beaton of Ansonia, CT. Sisters- Joan & Frank Holub of St. Augustine, FLA and MaryJane & Charles Snodgrass of Holly Lake Ranch, TX and a brother – Jack Beaton of Seymour CT. Precious Grandchildren – Bryan Perry, Kyle & Jessica Perry and Jenna Perry all from Hanover, PA., Joanna & Michelle Moxley of Portland, OR. and Seth & Adam Beaton of Ansonia, CT, Two Great Grandchildren - Brayden & Micah Perry of Hanover, PA. and many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by three sisters- Marguerite, Barbara & Muriel.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 10:30 AM at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull CT. Friends may call Saturday morning before the service from 9:00 – 10:30 AM. Interment will be held in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour with full military honors. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT has been entrusted with the arrangements.
