Charles E. Colley, Sr., “Charlie” “Chaz” age 68 of Seymour entered peaceful rest to be with our Lord on Monday, October 9, 2017. Born in Derby on February 23, 1949, he was a son to the late Helen (Sears) Yolinski and Edward Yolinski. Charlie was a retired security guard for UBS in Stamford, and worked for the Kerite Company, where he held many positions. Charlie loved music and was self-taught in playing the harmonica and keyboard. He also loved the outdoors, hiking, gardening and birds, especially chickadees. He could fix almost anything and was very creative. Charlie was a caring and sensitive person with a beautiful soul. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and infectious giggle. Survivors include his beloved children, Bonnie Shayne Jones and Charles “CJ” Colley, Jr.; brothers, Gerald and Lee Colley; sisters, Kothy Hafersat, Lee Heller, Janice Harvell, Sandra Salomon and Luanne Welwood, as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at a later date to be announced and arrangements have been entrusted to Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483.
