Obituary for Edward "Eddie" Vaivoda, Sr.

OXFORD, CT: Edward J. "Eddie" Vaivoda, Sr., age 83 of Oxford Road, entered into rest May 20, 2002 at his home. Hew as the beloved husband of Shirley Yocher Vaivoda.
Mr. Vaivoda was born July 30, 1918 in Oxford, son of the late Bronis and Martha Vaivoda. He was a life long Oxford resident, and was a self employed dairy farmer of the Vaivoda Farm. Mr. Vaivoda also was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Besides his wife, Edward leaves his loving family including, 3 sons, Edward J. Vaivoda, Jr. of Naugatuck, William Vaivoda, and Daniel Vaivoda both of Oxford. 1 daughter Kim Vaivoda of Derby. 1 brother, John Vaivoda of Oxford. 2 sisters Mildred Edmonds of Oxford, and Adell Mikita of Shelton. 1 granddaughter Kristina Masaitis of Oxford. His sister Isabell Canepa predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be in Southford Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108-3272.
